Doggette Update
She's been off the lead and playing with other dogs!!!
I'm so happy. I actually cried.
Yesterday morning I walked her again in the park where there's always a lot of dogs. I've walked her round and round on the extender lead, getting closer and closer to the other dogs, treating all as totally matter of fact and praising her when she ignored them. A lady's dog got quite close and T was interested but steady. I explained the situation to the dogs owner and she was fine about letting me try T off the lead with her dog. Well, let's just say we haven't looked back :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D Seeing her playing and interacting with the others made me smile and made me cry. I realise how saft that reads, but it meant a lot to me that a) she got over the issue for her sake, and b) that she can have a normal dog's life.
We were out again this morning and all was grand :D
The only time I won't let her off now is along a particular track as all sorts go along there and she's still a playful (big) pup really who wants to bounce, which won't always be appreciated.

Having had a fear aggressive dog for about 13 years, I understand your happiness. It's awesome when you put the work in, show them it's OK, and get rewarded with what you enjoyed today. Well worth it :) so pleased she doing so well :)
