    Best Guard Dogs (or Geese?)?

    Just a wondering.

When we do eventually get to move, I'd like to get my German Shepherd that I've wanted for a while now (think a good few years).

I'm guessing that a GSD, or maybe two, would be a good deterrent to the badies, but also wondering about having a few geese around the place?

Quite like geese and think they'd be good at helping to keep the unwanted peeps out.

    Thoughts people?

Geese-good guard dogs but just as good at guarding your own house from you......

GSDs good, or some other large dog. atleast they know who you are LOL

Guiny (sp?!) foul are apparently good guard dogs too someone told me

YO has GSDs . Biggest softies ever, when they know you are 'friend' - but pretty ferocious sounding for strangers. Excellent guards I think. Only encounter with goose was on a plate, many many years ago, before I turned veggie!

Save remembering to buy geese food

Then again, having seen geese in attack mode, maybe it will save buying dog food!

Do foxes kill geese? Or is that just ducks and chickens?

They have geese on the farm where I lamb and to be honest I would rather face the wrath of the dogs than the geese. One chased me and Bill the dog off the yard once!
