Shes been on my mind a lot lately, and I stumbled upon this earlier.
As written and spoken by a younger me;
As the curtain falls on a loved ones life we reflect on everything they mean to us, to me, she was my mother, my friend, my guidance, my comfort in times of uncertainity. Too others she was a daughter, a friend, a peace keeper and so much more.
My mam was the person I turned to when I skinned my knees falling over as a child, the one I whinged about homework too as I got older, even though she wasn't keen on horses herself she was there to celebrate my success with, and to help me find the courage to go on when things went wrong. The only person who could read The Famous Five too me how I liked it read, nobody could do Annes voice like her.
Although there will always be a deep sadness engraved in my heart in losing her, I ask us to rejoice for the times we shared with her.
In keeping with her favourite song, shes now among the fields of gold.
Lovely words.
But getting over the loss of your mum does not take days, or weeks or even months. Your mum will always be with you in everything you do. Some times of year are always going to be hard for you. But in time the pain lessens & the happy times win through
