Hope you don't mind this, but I've been sorting things out and came across the Order of Service from my Mum's funeral.

Mum had three daughters, whom she loved so very much; and one son who was the apple of her eye, and these are the words that he wrote for her,

"You mean so very much to so many in your life
As daughter, sister, auntie, granny and wife,
But it is to you that I write as can no other
It is from son to Mum - to my friend and Mother.

I look down the past for memories to find,
So very many things come to my mind
But always and ever, clearly I see
Is the undying love you gave to me.

You were always there for your only son
I love you and will miss you my beautiful Mum.
"I love you too, come what may"
You said to me near your very last day.

I'm looking at your photo and in your kind face
I see the love that transcends time and space
"Go walk and climb in the wild places afar
I'm watching over you Andrew, I know where you are"

But where will I find you? By looking at stars above?
Where now will I find such compassionate love?
My darling Mum - I know where to start
By looking deep and deep and safe in my heart.
