    Fairfax Girths

Are they worth the cost (c. £300+)?

No idea never used one! I have a GFS padded curvy leather girth and that does us (about £60)

I've only heard raves about them, but can't yet see why

Nope I though £60 on a leather girth bad enough!
Until I had dressage saddle it was good old cottage craft ones all the way!

I know this is an old thread but thought you might like to know that a synthetic version of the fairfax has now been made. Endorsed by fairfax and made with prolite. They are just under £90 which while still a lot of money for a girth would probably be worth it IF they did make a difference to your horse.

I am very tempted to try one on Moo!!

I'm curious about the prolite version too, but waiting for someone I know to test it first

It's currently the plan LF Depends on the house move and work, but hopefully a nice ID or similar will be joining the Hairy Gang . All low level stuff and lots of hacking, with D on his pushbike and the dogs running with us
