Four year old ID - Saddle?
Having a think.
My four year old lad seems to have had a growth spurt. The saddle that fitted him four weeks ago (medium. 17"), no longer fits. Saddler says is now an extra-wide.
It seems a big jump in a short period. He's only four. Just backed so no topline to speak of. What the heck size is he going to end up in?!
It's also making me wonder what to do about getting a saddle now...

I would get an adjustable gullet one personally. He's going to keep changing shape as he grows, fills out, drops weight, gets fitter and muscles up.
Would be impossible to find an unadjustable saddle that would stay a good fit as he's changing.

Thank you.
Have decided on a Saddle Company one. Adjustable through the tree. There's a chance it'll fit him for some time, but so long as he's happy in it for now then all good. We think the saddle he was worked in last was too narrow, hence his reaction when he went to canter (back lady explained but I lost it after the second muscle group!). Off to look at the site now
