Watching an animal programme (caught my eye because it's in Houston, Texas, and I was there a couple of months ago).

I won't go into detail as it was all yuck, but a wee dog had lived on concrete and in a cage all his life. He was scared of grass Wouldn't walk on it

I've seen quite a few programs with things like that, always makes me wanna cry.
Did he go on to live a happy life?

Yes. The woman that was grooming him (I used that word loosely - he was a complete and utter state. Must have been carrying twice his body weightin matted fur, etc. ). Anyway, she fell for him and took him home. He was so loving with her whilst she was cutting the yuck off. Brought a tear to the eye it did.

I admit to being close to crying when watching him whilst she was clipping. He just wanted to snuggle in next to her.
