Well as some of you may know I've been having a few ridden issues with Missi, they started after I got a Chiro to treat her at the end of November. I stupidly went with a chiro that I didn't know, she'd been recommended to me by two other 'professionals' that were treating her so I thought it might be good for them to all work together, plus she could come out a lot sooner then my normal chiro. I wasn't particularly impressed with this new chiro, she didn't give me a good vibe and did some things that I thought were rather strange to Moo. Just put it down to someone having different methods etc and try and let it go.
Anyway, due to Moo still being a pain I decided I would get my normal Chiro out for a second opinion, I have used him for years and always been pleased with his work, downside is it can take up to six weeks to get an appointment!
Fast forward to tonight and my lovely chiro braved the weather to come and visit. It seems that my hunch about the other chiro was right and she hadn't really corrected any of the problems that there where. Her pelvis was quite significantly 'out', she had at least 5 spots under where her saddle would sit that needed tweaking and an issue in her poll among others. He thinks they could be the cause of the problem although obviously I won't know until I get back on her next week. Having used him twice a year for about 8 years this is the first time he has ever suggested a follow up visit which I think suggests there was enough 'wrong' to warrant some naughty behaviour!
It probably won't be the end of our issues but at least if she plays up now I will know the hopefully she doesn't have any problems and she is just being a cow bag for the fun of it. IF she does happen to be back to her nice normal self then the first chiro obviously did more harm then good (and I will be FURIOUS!!)
One thing I have learnt, stick to what you know, even if it means waiting a bit longer for it!!
