Scary Phone Call this Morning - Loose Horses, Possibly Ours!

Friend rang as I was on my way to client's site.

By a bit of a tortuous route of who rang whom, she was told that three horses had been loose!

Thankfully the livery yard across the road had taken them in.

We didn't know if they were ours or the neigbouring yard's horses

Thanks to the M1 being solid and my usual alternative route being closed, I ended up going past our yard. Called in to do a quick head count. All ours safe and pretty much where they should be (though maybe not in the summer field, but will deal with that later, at least they were on 'our' land and safe).

Rang all and let them know status. Other yard lady was leaving work to retrieve the neds. There might have been one missing, still waiting to hear.

I tell you, these horses will have me in an early grave

Yup. Hence climbing over fence in work gear, luckily wearing trainers (as thought I'd end up parking miles from site) as was wading through lovely squidgy mud, but it was well worth it to see them safe and well, even if in slightly the wrong place

Still, when I walked with Dizz to the field on Saturday, no rope or headcollar, just walking together, it's all well worth it

Now, where can I get false nails from...?
