    Sorry!

Too hot a day and far too exciting! Brain is broiled.

    Right

    16.3hh
    Six years old.
Prob IDx, maybe with TB, maybe with WB.
Skewbald, but has bits of black in mane and forelock.
'Lightly backed', but will will be treated as though nothing done with hi

I did not go to the sales to buy a horse! Friend and I went for a coffee... I didn't have the trailer with me and I hadn't discussed with D.

Saw the pretty boy - called him Cowpony in my head! Such a lovely face! Seemed very kind and genuine. Rested his head in my arm

Bidding started. I'd checked with D and worked out what I could go to, given that the bidding was in Guineas. I got him in two bids, for just over half what I could go to

Had to get Friend home so she could get to work and get the trailer.

The Ds went to the yard and set up the stable. D went with me to collect him.

He followed me from the pen with his nose tucked into the back of my arm. A quick sniff at the bottom o the ramp and on he went, tucking straight into the hay

Travelled very well, only a few miles really.

Walked into his stable nice as you like

Let him chill for a while, but it was so warm we decided to try a hose down. Again, took all in his stride

D1 trotted him up and he has lovely elevation

Picked up all feet kindly and neatly, no snatching.

Gave a little feed as I wanted some salt into his system. He was keen at the sight of the bucket, but backed up and no dramas

Have booked school for first thing in morning to let him stretch legs. Nothing in his passport about vaccs so vet will be out to do. Farrier is booked for Wednesday, though his hooves aren't too bad; unshod and I'd like to keep him that way No quidding, but will have dentist out to check. He's lacking in muscle, so will wait a week or so, depending on how my Barnsby saddle sits before having saddler out. He won't be ridden until that's sorted.

Will start with bitting and a roller next weekend

Aim: I have a friend to get out and about with Anything more than that would e a bonus

Off to try and hook iPhone to iPad to get pics onto PB and then onto here!

You are clearly mad MrsM :p congratulations on your new lad!

What have you called him? How come he's only just backed? How was he to ride?

    Debating names

Not ridden him! Nor seen him ridden! Going to treat him as unbacked

No history on him at all! Passport is pretty much bare, apart from a date of birth.
